2010 Alumni game
The 2010 Alumni games took place at the Varsity Soccer Field of the Grafton High Bliese Athletic Fields. The games were played in the 90 degree humid weather of
Saturday evening August 14. With the three alumni teams playing round robin format the Black team (youngest players) went undefeated winning both of their games. The Orange Team
with the mid range age players lost to the Black Team. This game was close 1-1 game until late in the second half when the Orange Team wore down. The White Team with the most experienced players
did lose both games. It was no surprise the White team was very completive against both of the younger teams.
Be the winner or the loser did not mean anything to any of the players, it was just a opportunity to see each other, play the game they all love and
remember the positive influence (Blackhawk - Black Hawk) Soccer meant to each of them.
2009 Grafton High Old-timers Alumni Game
The Old Timers game was a close game that was won by a score of 7-6 by the White Shirted team (grad years 1994-1999) over the Black Shirted team (grad years 1985-1992).
The Black shirted team took a early lead with a goal from Paula “Hoffmann” Race (’89) The white shirted team with Kelly Pape (’99) in goal could not keep up with the black shirted team falling behind 4-1 as the black shirts received goals from Dave Greisch (“92), Brad Seefeld ( ’87) and Jeremy Kranz (’92) and the whites only getting a goal from Ken Bosch (“95). The game played in four 20 minute quarters, due to the high temps quickly turned around when White shirts received a hat trick plus one from Mike Bergmann (’99). With Bergmann’s four goals the white team took a short lived lead but the black team quickly came back and tied the game at 6-6. With outstanding goalkeeping from the black shirted Scott Ellerbrock (’86) who played keeper the entire game and the white shirts second half goalie Bryan Schultz (’97) the game remained tied with only a few minutes left in the contest when high school teammates again teamed up for the winning goal. Mark Harris (“96) found Scott Eichstaedt (’96) with a perfect pass and Eichstaedt sent his shot to the back of the net for the deciding tally.
